We know the importance of moving with the times. Water is one of the world’s most precious natural resources and at WaterWipes® we’re careful how we use it, conserving and protecting it any way we can. Having our own wells helps. We have three on our production site that we can tap into and drawing on the groundwater they provide means we minimise our use of local water supplies. In addition, we’re in an area of Ireland with high rainfall, so the groundwater we use is regularly replenished, helping us to make the most of this natural resource.
We’re constantly evolving and adapting to make sure we use water responsibly and sustainably. For example, over the past year we’ve cut the amount of wastewater we produce per pack.
And because we know every drop counts, we’re committed to doing even better, with ambitious targets for the years ahead.
To help us meet those targets- or even exceed them – we keep a watchful eye on our water consumption, our systems and the way we work. That means we can identify areas for improvement, including equipment upgrades and staff training.
Nearly 1.8 billion people globally lack access to safe drinking water. 1 in 5 die every day from related illnesses. 90% of those deaths are children. Whether water is cleansing your skin, or quenching your thirst, it is imperative for life. In 2023 we partnered with WATERisLIFE, a US charity, and donated $50,000 towards clean water solutions for communities in need across the globe. We’re continuing our partnership into 2024 with bigger and bolder plans to make an impact. Stay tuned.
