What is WaterWipes doing to honor Prematurity Awareness Month?
USA
In the USA, WaterWipes is partnering with Project NICU and High Risk Hope.
With Project NICU, WaterWipes is sponsoring their 30 Days of Hope campaign, which was created to inspire and raise awareness for families of premature babies who have experienced a stay in the NICU, in celebration of Prematurity Awareness Month. Project NICU encourages past and present preemie parents to submit their story here, including as little or as much as they’d like, plus 1-3 photos to be included with the story. The goal of this campaign is to fill social media with stories of hope for all involved in the NICU journey.
With High Risk Hope, WaterWipes is sponsoring the organization’s Bed Rest Baskets and NICU Napsacks for the month of November in honor of Prematurity Awareness Month. The Bed Rest Baskets are provided to mothers on long-term bed rest that help make the hospital stay a little easier, while the NICU Napsacks are given to families in the NICU and ensure that the family’s basic needs are met while they focus on the health of their baby.
Canada
In Canada, WaterWipes is joining forces with the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation. WaterWipes is sponsoring the organization’s Proud Preemie Champions buttons, which will be distributed to hospitals across Canada and given to NICU healthcare professionals and parents. Button recipients will be encouraged to wear their buttons on World Prematurity Day and tag the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation on social media.
WaterWipes is also sponsoring a special edition of the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation’s Preemie Chats on World Prematurity Day. This Preemie Chats session will consist of a 3-hour live streaming event and bring in experts, researchers, and NICU parents to raise awareness about infant prematurity as well as to share their experience and knowledge. WaterWipes is thankful to be able to give back to the community of premature babies, their parents, and medical teams during Prematurity Awareness Month through our partnerships with Project NICU, High Risk Hope, and the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation.
