The road to becoming an expert
Emer started her academic career at UCD Dublin where she studied pharmacology. After getting her BSc, she stayed at UCD to complete her PhD in molecular biology.
She worked for a number of years as a cosmetic scientist before taking a step into the world of regulatory affairs, working specifically on markets in Latin American, Europe and Africa. After this she progressed to the role of toxicologist and subsequently product safety manager for personal care products.
At WaterWipes, Emer joined as regulatory manager before moving to her current role – External Affairs Director.

Partnering with WaterWipes – and what makes it so special
In her role as External Affairs Director, Emer leads a team responsible for product safety and regulatory compliance, medical and scientific product claims and research, and consumer care.
For me, what makes WaterWipes so special is how hard everyone works to bring the best products to our consumers. We provide a product that was specifically created for babies’ delicate skin.
With minimal ingredients, it is safe to use even on the most sensitive skin. And WaterWipes are reassuring for parents too – who can use them safely in the knowledge that they’re gentle yet effective.
“We’ve a great team at WaterWipes working on exciting projects – so every day is fun, friendly, and professional and a great place to work.”
